Selangor sasar 832 perumahan strata

Selangor has “kickstarted” a programme to help residential buildings in the state save up to 80% in energy consumption with no upfront costs.

Part of the Smart Selangor initiative, Synergy Group and ODESI will assist the state authorities to install LED lights in more than 8,000 strata buildings involving up to 12 city councils involving the Light Source in Darkness programme, according to a joint statement.

Synergy Group memulakan program Sumber Cahaya dalam Kegelapan (Light Source in Darkness) secara rasminya, yang berikrar untuk membantu pengurusan bangunan kediaman di Selangor menjimatkan penggunaan tenaga sehingga 80% dengan kos pendahuluan sifar.

The Light Source in Darkness effort also falls under Lembaga Perumahan dan Hartanah Selangor’s (LPHS) wider Green Initiative Program, with the ultimate goal of making Selangor a more liveable Smart and Green State by 2025.

The ‘Zero Cost, Zero Risk’ concept programme falls under the Lembaga Perumahan dan Hartanah Selangor’s (LPHS) Dana Bangunan Hijau ke arah Kesejahteraan Bandar (BHKB) initiative. ODESI is backed by a RM520 million investment in its drive for the programme that promotes renewable energy for the creation of a better and sustainable future.

Synergy’s Green Initiative Program continues to expand and reach communities and organisations to support the Selangor State Government’s goal in becoming a low-carbon emission Smart City by 2025. The program aims to target energy saving equivalent to preventing over 3,700,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, which is similar to planting over 100,000,000 trees over a span of 10 years for 6,000 Joint Management Bodies (JMB) / Management Corporations (MC) of Strata Properties in Selangor. As part of this initiative, the 2023 target is to implement 10% LED lighting within Selangor’s townships.

In line with Selangor’s 2025 Low Carbon Smart City Vision, Synergy ESCO is furthering its commitment to sustainable practices through the introduction of the “Light Source in Darkness” program. This initiative aims to help strata buildings in Selangor conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions by facilitating the installation of Synergy ESCO’s energy-efficient LED lights at no upfront cost.

Synergy ESCO leads the ‘Light Source In Darkness’ initiative, promoting cost-effective, ESG-compliant energy solutions in Selangor’s shared buildings. This initiative significantly trims lighting energy requisites and carbon emissions by substituting conventional tubes with Synergy’s patented LED illumination devices. Notably, this metamorphosis unfolds without any initial fiscal outlay for the Joint Management Bodies (JMB) and Management Corporations (MC). These LEDs are a marvel of longevity, promising an operational span of 150,000 hours, with a mere 5-watt power draw, yet casting a luminous efficiency of 210 lumen/watt.
